Cover Letter
A cover letter is required as a separate Word file addressed to the editor. The cover letter must state that all authors approved the submitted manuscript and disclose any use of AI to generate content, write code, or process data.
Abstract
A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript
The text body from Introduction through Discussion must not exceed 6000 words, excluding references, figure legends, and tables. The manuscript text must be arranged as Title page, Abstract and keywords, Key Points, Importance of the Study, Text, Required statements, Acknowledgments, References, and Captions for all illustrations. The manuscript must include up to 5 keywords, 2–3 key points with a maximum total of 260 characters/spaces, an 'Importance of the Study' summary of no more than 150 words, five required statements after the Discussion, and disclosure of any AI use in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References
The manuscript should typically include no more than 50 references. References must be numbered in order of citation, cited in the text with superscript Arabic numbers, and for works with more than six authors list the first three followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables
A maximum of 6 display items may be included. For first submission, display items may be included at the end of the manuscript after the references and figure legends, while tables must be uploaded as separate files. Figure captions must be typed double-spaced after the reference list.

Abstract
Abstract is not required. A brief unstructured summary paragraph of fewer than 100 words must be provided instead of an abstract. An abstract must not be included, and the article must begin with an unstructured summary paragraph.
Manuscript
The summary plus main text must not exceed 1000 words. Brief Communications must begin with a brief unstructured summary paragraph and must not include Key Points or an Importance of the Study section. Five required statements must be included at the end of the text, and a statement detailing each author's contributions must be included at the end of the manuscript text.
References
References must not exceed 10. References must be numbered in order of citation, cited in the text with superscript Arabic numbers, and for works with more than six authors list the first three followed by “et al.”.
Figures & Tables
Brief Communications may include 1 table or figure. For first submission, the entire manuscript may be uploaded in a single Word file, but tables must be uploaded as separate files and display items must be placed at the end of the text after the reference list and figure legends. Alt text is required for all figures and must be included in the manuscript directly under the relevant figure legend preceded by 'Alt text:'.

Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript
Text must not exceed 2000 words, and the introductory paragraph must be 150 words or fewer. Manuscript must include a short introductory paragraph and should present clinical presentation, relevant family or cancer history, prior treatment history, diagnostic testing and results, and discussion of treatment options and outcomes if relevant. Manuscript must include all five required statements and should include a summary of molecular diagnostic methods or tools, report specific genomic or potentially pathogenic mutations and relevant variants of unknown significance, and include available mutational tumor burden and relevant negative results.
References
