Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The text body from Introduction through Discussion must not exceed 6000 words, excluding references, figure legends, and tables. The manuscript text must be arranged as Title page, Abstract and keywords, Key Points, Importance of the Study, Text, Required statements, Acknowledgments, References, and Captions for all illustrations. The manuscript must include up to 5 keywords, 2–3 key points with a maximum total of 260 characters/spaces, an 'Importance of the Study' summary of no more than 150 words, five required statements after the Discussion, and disclosure of any AI use in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References The manuscript should typically include no more than 50 references. References must be numbered in order of citation, cited in the text with superscript Arabic numbers, and for works with more than six authors list the first three followed by 'et al.'.
Figures & Tables A maximum of 6 display items may be included. For first submission, display items may be included at the end of the manuscript after the references and figure legends, while tables must be uploaded as separate files. Figure captions must be typed double-spaced after the reference list.
