Minerva Respiratory Medicine is a quarterly international peer-reviewed scientific journal founded in 1962 that focuses on diseases of the respiratory system, including pathophysiology, pharmacology, interventional pulmonology, non-invasive ventilation, intensive care in respiratory diseases, obstructive and restrictive lung diseases, rare lung diseases, pulmonary oncology, pulmonary hypertension, infectious and immunologic diseases, thoracic surgery, and lung transplantation. The journal is indexed in EMBASE, Emerging Sources Citation Index, and Scopus, has an Impact Factor of 0.1, and publishes editorials, original articles, review articles, case reports, special articles, letters to the Editor, and guidelines.

Original Articles

Cover Letter If AI-assisted technologies were used in the cover letter, that use must be described, and permission details for any reproduced figures must be provided.
Abstract Original Articles must include a structured abstract. The abstract must be 200-250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Articles should be 3000-5500 words excluding references, tables, and figures. Original Articles must follow the IMRaD structure with Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and then Conclusions, References, and any tables and figures. The manuscript must include key words, an Authors’ contribution section including the statement “All authors read and approved the final version of the manuscript,” Notes sections for conflicts of interest and funding, and disclosure of any AI-assisted technologies in the appropriate section.
References Original Articles may include no more than 50 references. References must follow Vancouver style. References must include only sources cited in the text and be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals in citation order, with superscript Arabic numerals used in the text.
Figures & Tables Tables must be included in the text file, while figures must be submitted as separate files. Tables must be created with the Microsoft Word table editor and numbered in Roman numerals, and figures must be numbered in Arabic numerals with their titles also repeated in the text file.
