Research Papers
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required for meta-analyses and related advanced statistical analyses submitted as Research Papers. For meta-analyses and related advanced statistical analyses, the cover letter must include a signed statement from a statistician attesting to the validity of the statistical methods and presented results.
Abstract
Research Papers must include an abstract. The abstract must be limited to 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must include the headings Objectives, Design, Setting, Participants, Interventions, Measurements and Main Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript
The manuscript must be double-spaced throughout and include the sections Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References. The manuscript must include 1 to 8 keywords and an AI-use declaration in a new section before the references list if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References
References must be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets and listed in the order they appear in the article.
Figures & Tables
Figures must be supplied as separate files, while tables must be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images and both figures and tables must be numbered consecutively, cited in the text, and provided with captions.
