Meta-Analysis

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must include the manuscript title and type, a brief background, the question addressed and why, what was done, the main findings and their significance, why the work is significant, why it fits the journal scope and interests readers, and confirmation that all authors approved the manuscript and agreed to submission.
Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript An Author Contributions section must be included, and use of CRediT to describe each contributor’s role is encouraged.
References References and in-text citations must follow AMA style. In-text citations must use consecutive superscript Arabic numerals, and references must list up to 6 authors or editors or the first 3 followed by "et al." if more than 6, use PubMed journal abbreviations, include the issue number after the volume, and provide DOI when available.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be placed right after the point where they are directly related or after the paragraph where they are first cited. Figures and tables must be cited in numerical order, figure captions must appear below figures, and table captions must appear above tables.

Original Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Abstract An unstructured abstract is required. Abstract must be no more than 250 words and should ideally be 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must briefly summarize the paper, including context or background, study purpose, basic procedures, main findings, principal conclusions, important limitations, and new and important aspects of the study.
Manuscript Manuscript should ideally be 5000–8000 words and must be no less than 5000 words. Main text must include Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections, although Results and Discussion may be merged. Manuscript must include 3–8 keywords, specifically 6 keywords, a graphical abstract, and an Author Contributions section, while CRediT is encouraged for describing contributions and any AI tool use must be disclosed in the submitted work.
References References should be approximately 40. References and in-text citations must follow AMA style. References must be numbered in order of appearance rather than alphabetized, use superscript chronological in-text citation numbers with repeated citations retaining the same number, abbreviate journal names according to PubMed, list up to 6 authors or editors and then the first 3 followed by et al. if more than 6, and include DOI when available.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be cited in chronological order and inserted immediately after the paragraph where they are first mentioned. Figure captions must be placed beneath figures, table captions must be placed above tables with a legend below each table, and a separate Supplementary File must present supplementary figures and tables in chronological order using the prefix S.
