Original Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or submission by a non-author, if applicable.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must concisely state the purpose of the research, major findings, and conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must be organized as Title page, Summary (abstract) and keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, and References. Manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions section after the Acknowledgements, and a 'Statements and Declarations' section at the end of the article with all required subheadings including 'Not applicable' where relevant.
References References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and every reference list entry must have a corresponding in-text citation.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder in the text. Figures must be numbered consecutively, and tables must be labeled as tables with a number and title and be editable text rather than images.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript is suitable for publication and disclose any third-party writing or editing assistance or submission by a non-author, if applicable.
Abstract A summary abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Review article must contain a summary, an introduction to the topic, a careful review of the relevant and current literature, conclusions of the reviewed literature, and recommendations if applicable. Manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions heading after the Acknowledgements section, and a section headed 'Statements and Declarations' after the Acknowledgements and Author Contributions sections with all required subheadings included, using 'Not applicable' where needed.
References References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Every in-text citation must have a corresponding reference list entry and every reference list entry must have a corresponding in-text citation.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the text for separately submitted figures. Figures must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, and tables must be editable text in Word rather than images.

Manuscript Mini-Reviews should be about 10 typewritten, double-spaced pages, including figures, figure legends, tables, and references. Manuscript should be structured into Title page, Summary (abstract) and keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, and References. Manuscript must include at least 5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions heading after the Acknowledgements section, and a section headed 'Statements and Declarations' after the Acknowledgements and Author Contributions sections.
References References must follow the Sage Vancouver reference style. Mini-Reviews should follow the reference system used for Original Research articles.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be included in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with a placeholder note in the running text. Mini-Reviews should follow the figure, figure legend, and table system used for Original Research articles.

References References must follow Sage Vancouver style. Full-Length Reviews should use the same reference system as Original Research articles, and every in-text citation must correspond to a reference list entry and vice versa.
Figures & Tables Figures, charts, and tables created in Word should be embedded in the main text, while figures and other files created outside Word must be submitted separately with placeholder notes in the text.
