Review Article

Cover Letter Cover letter is required. Cover letter must identify the corresponding author's name, full postal address, and fax number.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be unstructured and no more than 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no more than 5000 words including the abstract but excluding references, tables, and figures. Manuscript must include three to five keywords below the abstract and a graphical abstract with summary text not exceeding 50 words.
References References must be numbered consecutively in brackets in the text and listed individually at the end, with the first six authors followed by et al. when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Figures must not be embedded within the text and each figure and table must be submitted as a separate file. A graphical abstract is required and must be submitted as separate image and text files, with the image sized to fit within 18 cm by 12–15 cm and the summary text limited to 50 words.

Correspondence

Manuscript Correspondence must contain no more than 500 words of text. Correspondence is not required to divide the text into sections apart from keywords. Correspondence must include one graphical abstract, provide keywords, and limit the graphical opinion summary text to 50 words.
References Correspondence may include a maximum of 5 references. References must be numbered consecutively in the text using brackets and listed individually at the end, listing the first six authors followed by et al. when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables Correspondence may include up to 1 table or figure, while any other graphics must be included in the supplementary information. Figures must not be embedded within the text and each figure and table must be submitted as a separate file, with the graphical opinion image and text each submitted as single designated files. The graphical opinion image must fit within 18 cm wide and 12-15 cm high when printed at full scale and should not be totally identical to a figure in the manuscript.

Three to five keywords must appear below the abstract, a conflict of interest statement must appear at the end of the main text before the acknowledgements or references, and a graphical abstract with summary text of no more than 50 words is required.
References The manuscript must include no more than 15 references. References must be cited by consecutive numbers in brackets. References must be numbered individually in order of citation, list only published or accepted works, use the first six authors followed by et al. when there are more than six authors, and abbreviate journal names without full stops.
Figures & Tables Brief Reports should not normally include more than two display items, meaning tables and/or figures. Figures must not be embedded in the text and must be uploaded as separate files, tables must be saved in separate files, and figure legends must appear after the reference list. A graphical abstract is required, with image and text submitted as separate designated files, summary text limited to 50 words, a white background, and an image sized to fit within 18 cm wide by 12-15 cm high at full scale.
