Immunological Medicine is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal and the official journal of the Japanese Society of Clinical Immunology. It publishes high-quality original research in clinical immunology, with a focus on diseases and conditions associated with immunological abnormalities requiring immunological approaches from various medical fields, including autoimmune, allergy-related, infectious, malignant, immunodeficiency, and transplantation-related conditions. The journal encourages submissions spanning both basic and clinical immunology across a wide range of medical specialties and publishes original articles, review articles, case reports, and rapid communications.

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript There are no word limits for Original Articles. Original Articles typically include Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion sections. The manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement under the subheading “Disclosure of interest,” and a statement disclosing whether and how generative AI was used in the research and manuscript preparation process.
References References may be in any consistent scholarly citation style or format. References must include author name or names, journal or book title, article or chapter title, year of publication, volume and issue where appropriate, and page numbers, and every bibliographic entry must have a corresponding in-text citation.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables can be placed within the text or submitted as separate documents.
