Allergy is the official journal of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI). It aims to advance, impact and communicate all aspects of the discipline of Allergy/Immunology, including educational, basic, translational and clinical research, and to maintain contact between basic and clinical Allergy/Immunology. It is an international journal with contributors and readers from all countries and publishes original articles, reviews, position papers, guidelines, editorials, news and commentaries, letters to the editors and correspondences.

Review Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must describe why the work is novel and important and why it should be published in Allergy.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 200 words. Abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript Main text must be less than 4,500 words excluding the abstract, figure legends, and references, and a word count must be provided. Manuscript must include up to 5 keywords in alphabetical order, and highlights consisting of three bullet points with a maximum of 60 words must be provided in a separate Word document.
References Review articles may include up to 200 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and cited in the text with Arabic superscript numerals in consecutive order.
Figures & Tables Review articles may include up to 10 figures and/or tables in total in the text. Figures must be uploaded as separate files, while tables must appear in the main text file.

Original Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required and must explain why the work is novel and important, why it should be published in Allergy, and justify any excess length, figure/table number, or reference number. Cover letter must describe why the work is novel and important, why it should be published in Allergy, and the reasons for exceeding limits on length, figures/tables, or references.
Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and animal model studies must specify the species in the Methods section.
Manuscript Main text must be less than 3,500 words excluding the abstract, figure legends, and references, and the article is limited to 5 printed pages in total. Manuscript must include an informative title of fewer than 100 characters, a short title of fewer than 50 characters, and informative subtitles in subsections of the Results section. Manuscript must include up to 5 keywords in alphabetical order, a word count, and separate graphical abstract highlights consisting of three bullet points with a maximum of 60 words.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and cited in the text using consecutive Arabic superscript numerals.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include up to 6 figures and/or tables in total. Tables must be included in the main text file, while figures must be uploaded as separate files. Figure legends and table legends must be concise and comprehensive, and tables must be editable rather than pasted as images.
