Abstract A structured abstract is required for Original Articles. Abstract must be 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,500 words including the abstract, keywords, main text, figure and video legends, and tables. The article must include an abbreviations list at the beginning before the introduction. The manuscript must include 3–6 keywords, a graphical abstract with a PICO-based summary of no more than 380 characters and a graphical representation of the core findings, an AI-use disclosure in the Methods or Acknowledgements if applicable, and author contribution roles disclosed using CRediT taxonomy terms.
References Original Articles may include a maximum of 40 references. Citations must adhere strictly to the AMA Manual of Style. References must be numbered in order of appearance using Arabic numerals in parentheses and listed numerically, with PubMed abbreviations and only the first 3 authors listed followed by et al. when there are more than 6 authors.
Figures & Tables Original Articles may include a maximum of 7 figures and tables in total, while videos are unlimited. Tables must be included in the manuscript file as part of the text rather than as images. Tables must start on separate pages and include a title, footnotes where necessary, consecutive Arabic numbering, and text citation, and figures and videos must each have a legend and be cited in the text.
