Heart Rhythm O2 is an open access companion journal to Heart Rhythm and one of two open access publications of the Heart Rhythm Society. It focuses on cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology and publishes original clinical and experimental research, review articles, points-of-view, short reports, commentaries, and letters to the editor. The journal also incorporates content from Cardiovascular Digital Health Journal.

Submission Instructions
Heart Rhythm O2 is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:
Original Clinical
Cover Letter
Cover letter is required. Cover letter must confirm that the manuscript is original and that all authors are responsible for the contents and have read and approved the manuscript for submission.
Abstract
Abstract is required. Abstract must be 250 words or fewer. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must be divided into Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript
Manuscript must be 5000 words. Manuscript should be divided into Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions, with appropriate subheadings. Manuscript must include 3 to 5 Key Findings submitted as a separate MS Word file and, if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, a section before the references titled 'Declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process' describing the tool, purpose, and authors’ oversight.
References
References must use numbered citations in consecutive order with superscript Arabic numerals. References must be numbered in order of appearance, list the first 6 authors or the first 3 followed by et al. if there are more than 6, and use Index Medicus abbreviations for periodicals.
Figures & Tables
Original Clinical articles are limited to 8 figures and tables combined. Figures and legends must be included at the end of the main manuscript MS Word file, and source files of figures, tables, and text graphics are also required. Each figure must have its legend on the same page, each table must be on a separate page, and tables must be numbered consecutively in the order cited.

A cover letter is required. Cover letter must confirm that the manuscript is original and that all authors are responsible for the contents and have read and approved the manuscript for submission.

Research Letter may include up to 1 figure or up to 1 table. Figures and legends must be included at the end of the main manuscript MS Word file, and source files of figures and tables are also required. Supplementary data is not permitted for Research Letters.

Letters to the Editor must not exceed 400 words excluding the title page. Letters to the Editor may refer to papers published within the previous 6 months and must not contain original data.
