It is a peer-reviewed journal focused on practical information and research for healthcare professionals providing post-acute and long-term care, policy-makers, organizational leaders, educators, and advocates, with emphasis on evidence-based articles addressing geriatric syndromes, dementia, implementation and translational research, community-based and residential PA/LTC models, regulatory and policy issues, clinical tools, practice guidelines, and consensus statements.

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. It must not include funding information, author declarations, or suggested or opposed reviewers.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Objectives, Design, Setting and Participants, Methods, Results, and Conclusions and Implications.
Manuscript The manuscript must use the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusions and Implications, with each heading on its own separate line. The manuscript must include all authors listed, and authors must declare the use of generative AI tools in the manuscript preparation process upon submission.
References References must be cited by number in square brackets, listed in the order they appear in the text, and for works with more than 6 authors the first 6 authors must be listed followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables must be supplied separately, and tables must be submitted as editable text rather than as images. Tables and figures must be cited in the text, numbered in order of appearance, and include captions, with table notes placed below the table body.
