Original Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstracts must not exceed 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript The Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion sections must not exceed 5000 words. The manuscript must include Title Page, Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, statement of authors’ contributions to manuscript, data sharing plan, and References. The manuscript must include a Statement of Significance, keywords, and a Declaration of Generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the writing process.
References NLM ICMJE Recommendations and Citing Medicine, 2nd edition. For journal articles with more than 6 authors, list the first 6 authors before et al.; for 6 or fewer authors, list all authors.
Figures & Tables Tables must be included in the text file following the references, and each figure must be submitted in a separate file. Tables and figures must be cited sequentially in the text, and each table and figure legend must be detailed enough to be intelligible without the text.
