Original Research

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required and must be included with the manuscript. Abstract should be about 300 words long. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Objective(s), Methods, and Conclusions, and the heading 'Abstract' must appear at the start of the main text.
Manuscript Manuscript must be no more than 5,000 words including references and citations. Manuscript should be structured logically and should discuss the methods and results sections in detail. Manuscript must include a lay summary of 3–5 short bullet points no more than 250 words placed at the end of the abstract under the heading 'Lay Summary', may include up to six keywords below the abstract, and must include a graphical abstract and an acknowledgement-based declaration of any generative AI use beyond basic language refinement.
References References must use the Vancouver system. In-text citations must be parenthetical numerical citations, and the reference list must include all cited works in numerical order at the end of the main text file.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded separately as supplementary files, while tables must be included in the manuscript and placed at the end of the text document. A graphical abstract is mandatory and must appear at the beginning of the article as the first listed figure with a title and caption.

Systematic Reviews

Abstract Abstract requirements are not specified.
Manuscript Manuscript may contain up to 7,500 words, including references and citations. Systematic Reviews must be submitted as Original Research rather than as Review articles. A graphical abstract must be included as part of the main manuscript, up to six keywords may be provided below the abstract, generative AI use beyond basic language refinement must be declared in the acknowledgements, authors' contributions must be described, and a competing interests statement must appear before the references.
References References must use the Vancouver system. In-text citations must use parenthetical numerical citations in sequence, and the reference list must include all cited works in numerical order with URLs or DOIs where possible.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded separately as supplementary files while tables must be included in the manuscript and at the end of the text document. Each figure and table must be cited in consecutive Arabic numeral order and include a descriptive title, with figure titles and legends placed in the text document and table titles and legends placed underneath the tables.

Review

Abstract An unstructured abstract is required for review articles. The abstract must be 150 words. The abstract must be unstructured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 7,500 words, including references and citations. Review articles must be narrative reviews only. A graphical abstract is mandatory and must be included as part of the main manuscript.
References References must use the Vancouver system. In-text citations must be parenthetical numerical citations and the reference list must appear at the end of the text in numerical order.
Figures & Tables Figures must be uploaded separately as supplementary files, while tables must be included in the manuscript and placed at the end of the text document. All figures and tables must be cited in the main text in consecutive Arabic numeral order and each must have a descriptive title.
