It publishes high quality, evidence-based research on theoretical and applied aspects of trace elements in medicine and biology, including analytical methods, biochemistry, patho-biochemistry of metabolic processes, molecular biology, nutrition, toxicology, environmental toxicology, epidemiology, clinical applications in diagnosis and therapy, the food chain, and veterinary medicine.

Abstract A concise and factual abstract not exceeding 250 words is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract should be unstructured and able to stand alone.
Manuscript Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined sections covering all essential elements using headings. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords and, if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, a section titled "Declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process" before the references stating the tool name, purpose, and extent of author oversight.
References References must be cited in the text as numbers in square brackets and listed in the reference list in the order of appearance, with journal names abbreviated according to LTWA.
Figures & Tables Tables must be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text rather than images, and all figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text and include captions.
