Regular Research Articles
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. It must disclose any use of artificial intelligence, provide copies of related or similar prior or concurrent manuscripts and explain how the submission differs, and state at submission whether any editor or Editorial Board member is an author or contributor.
Abstract
An abstract is required. Up to 350 words. Structured. Objective, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript
Up to 6500 words excluding references, figures, and tables. Introduction, Material and methods, Results, Discussion, Funding/Financial support, Acknowledgements, Conflict of interest, Data availability statement, Ethical statement (animal/human), Supplementary material, References, Figure legends, Figures, and Tables. Include 5 MeSH keywords, Significant outcomes, Limitations, and a CRediT statement.
References
AMA 11th edition. References must be numbered consecutively in the order cited, cited with superscript Arabic numerals, list only published or in-press works, and use the first 3 authors followed by et al. when there are more than 6 authors.
Figures & Tables
A maximum of 8 figures and 6 tables. At initial submission, the whole manuscript, figures, and tables may be uploaded as a single file, while at revision figures and tables must be uploaded separately. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively, figures need legends and alt text, tables must have titles and notes, and tables and figures should be cited in sequence.

Cover Letter

Abstract
An abstract is required. The abstract must be unstructured and no more than 350 words. Unstructured.
Manuscript

Narrative Reviews have no specific manuscript structure, and Review Articles, Narrative Reviews, and Systematic Reviews must include Summations and Considerations. The manuscript must include five MeSH keywords, a statement of interest, an acknowledgment section, a funding/financial support section, a data availability statement, and AI use disclosure where applicable.
References
There is no limit on the number of references. AMA 11th edition. References must be cited in consecutive numerical order with superscript Arabic numerals, listed consecutively in the order cited, limited to published or in-press sources, and formatted with the first three authors followed by et al. when there are more than six authors.
Figures & Tables
Review Articles may include a maximum of 8 figures and 6 tables. Tables should be placed at the end of the document, and supplementary material must be submitted separately with the main manuscript. Figures and tables must be numbered consecutively, figures need legends, tables need titles and notes, and alt text is required for all images and figures included in the main article.
