Abstract
A structured abstract is required. The structured abstract must not exceed 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript
The manuscript must be no more than 4,000 words excluding references. The manuscript must contain Introduction, Methods, Theory/Calculation, Discussion, Conclusion, Appendices, Acknowledgements, and References. Highlights are mandatory, keywords must be included, and any use of AI tools must be disclosed in the Materials and Methods or similar section with the tool used and how it was used.
References
References must conform to AMA style. References must be cited by superscript Arabic numerals in consecutive order, list all authors when there are 6 or fewer, and list the first 3 authors followed by 'et al.' when there are more than 6.
Figures & Tables
Tables and figures must not be embedded in the manuscript file and must be uploaded separately, with each figure as a separate file and each table uploaded individually. Figures must include captions or legends and be cited consecutively in the text, and tables must be text-only, cited in order, and include a title with any explanatory material in footnotes.
