Israel Journal of Health Policy Research publishes on health policy, health services research, public health, health promotion, health economics, health care management, and the ethics, sociology, and political science of health care in Israel. The journal aims to promote intellectual interaction among scholars and practitioners from Israel and other countries, disseminate information about the achievements and dilemmas of Israeli health care, facilitate dialogue between experts in Israel and elsewhere, and publish paired research and commentary articles linking Israeli and international perspectives.

Israel Journal Of Health Policy Research is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Original Research Article

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. Cover letter must explain why the manuscript should be published, explain any issues relating to journal policies, declare any potential competing interests, confirm all authors approved the submission, confirm the manuscript has not been published or submitted elsewhere, and describe each author's contribution if there are more than four authors.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must include the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, and must also include a Trial registration section for reports of health care interventions on human participants.
Manuscript Manuscript is limited to 5,000 words. Manuscript must include a title page and the sections Background, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Declarations, and, if abbreviations are used, a list of abbreviations. Manuscript must include three to ten keywords, document any use of a Large Language Model in the Methods section or another suitable part of the manuscript, and include a Declarations section with the subheadings Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and materials, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, and Acknowledgements, using 'Not applicable' for any irrelevant section.
References References must use Vancouver style. Only published, in-press, or publicly available e-print or preprint articles, clinical trial registration records, and abstracts may be cited, unpublished abstracts, unpublished data, and personal communications must not appear in the reference list, journal abbreviations must follow Index Medicus/MEDLINE, and web links must be numbered and included in the reference list with the site title, full URL, and access date.
Figures & Tables Tables shorter than one page may be placed within the manuscript, tables longer than one page may be placed at the end of the document, and figure titles and legends must be provided in the main manuscript rather than in the graphic files. Figures and tables must be numbered in the order cited, multi-panel figures must be submitted as a single composite file, figure titles and table titles must not exceed 15 words, and figure legends and table legends must not exceed 300 words.
