JAAD International is one of three open access companion titles to the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. It publishes original, peer-reviewed articles for an international audience of researchers, clinicians, and trainees across dermatologic subspecialties and related fields, with emphasis on clinical and translational research, comparative views of dermatologic diseases and treatments, epidemiological studies, public health issues, region-specific diseases, inflammatory and tropical skin diseases, and conference proceedings.

Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Objective, Methods, Results, Limitations, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 2500 words excluding the abstract, references, figures, and tables. Title and Methods section must include a description of the study design. Manuscript must include keywords, a capsule summary of 2 bulleted statements not exceeding 50 words and containing no abbreviations, and any response rate for survey-based manuscripts in both the abstract and body.
References References must be cited in the text using superscript Arabic numerals in order of mention and listed in numeric sequence.
Figures & Tables There is no limit on the number of figures and tables permitted, but each table must not exceed 3 typed pages in Microsoft Word. Figures and tables must be integrated into the manuscript, and supplemental figures and tables are not permitted. Figures and tables must be cited in the text in order of mention, with figures numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and tables numbered sequentially in Roman numerals.
