Original Investigation

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the corresponding author's complete contact information.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 350 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Importance, Objective, Design, Setting, Participants, Intervention(s) or Exposure(s), Main Outcome(s) and Measure(s), Results, Conclusions and Relevance, and Trial Registration when applicable.
Manuscript The manuscript text must not exceed 3000 words. The manuscript must specify a study type. The manuscript must include 3 Key Points and a Data Sharing Statement.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered in the order of appearance, cited with superscript Arabic numerals, use PubMed journal abbreviations, and list all authors up to 6 or the first 3 followed by "et al." if more than 6.
Figures & Tables The manuscript may include no more than 5 tables and/or figures in total. Figures may be uploaded as separate files or appended to the end of the manuscript for initial submission, but tables must be included at the end of the manuscript file and not uploaded separately. Each table and figure must be numbered, cited in the text, and accompanied by a descriptive title.

Systematic Review (Without Meta-Analysis)

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the corresponding author's complete contact information.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 350 words. The abstract must be structured.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3000 words of text. The title subtitle must be "A Systematic Review," and the manuscript should include an Introduction of 150-250 words, a Methods section of 150-250 words, a Results section of 1000-1250 words, a Discussion section of 1000 words, and Conclusions of 2-3 sentences. The manuscript must include Key Points, and content created with artificial intelligence or similar technologies must be clearly described with the tool name, version details, and manufacturer.
References The manuscript must include 50-75 references. References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered in order of appearance using superscript Arabic numerals, journal names must be abbreviated according to PubMed, and up to 6 authors or editors should be listed before using "et al." for additional names.
Figures & Tables No more than a total of 5 tables and/or figures may be included. Figures must be submitted as separate files rather than included in the manuscript text, while tables must be included at the end of the manuscript file. The manuscript must include a table with ratings of the quality of the studies or evidence.

Manuscript should include an Introduction of 150 to 250 words, may include a Methods section of 150 to 250 words, should include a Discussion/Observations section of 1000 to 1250 words, and should end with Conclusions of 2 to 3 sentences. Manuscript must not include Key Points and AI-generated content must be clearly described with the tool name, version, extension numbers, and manufacturer.
