Original Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Original Articles must include a structured synopsis. The synopsis must be structured. The structured synopsis must use the headings Background (optional), Objectives, Patients and methods (or Methods), Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Articles must not exceed 3500 words from the start of the Introduction to the end of the Discussion. Original Articles must be divided into Synopsis, Introduction, Materials (or Patients) and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, Funding, Transparency declarations, and References. Original Articles must include 3 to 10 keywords, a Funding section after Acknowledgements, and a Transparency declarations section before References.
References References must be cited in the text using sequential superscript numbers after punctuation and listed numerically at the end of the text with each reference preceded by a bold number.
Figures & Tables Each table must be supplied on a separate sheet. Tables must be created using the Word Table function rather than inserted as images.
