Original Research

Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract
Original Research must include a structured abstract. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured into five sections. Abstract headings must be Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript
Manuscript must not exceed 3000 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends. Text must be organized as Introduction, Material or Patients and Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include 3-5 keywords after the abstract, an Author Contributions section after Acknowledgements, a Statements and Declarations section with required subheadings, and AI use disclosure in the Acknowledgements or Methodology section when applicable.
References
References must follow AMA style. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals numbered consecutively in order of first appearance, and the reference list must name all authors unless there are more than 6, in which case the first 3 are followed by et al.
Figures & Tables
Small figures, photographs, and tables may be included in the manuscript, but other tables and figures must be submitted as supplementary files. Tables must be created as text rather than images, and figures and tables should be cited in numeric order by order of mention in the text.

Manuscript must not exceed 4500 words excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figure legends. Include 3-5 keywords after the abstract and, if 8 or more abbreviations or acronyms are used, provide a separate abbreviations table on a page between the abstract and text.

Figures & Tables
Only small quarter-page to half-page figures, photographs, and tables may appear with the manuscript, and all other tables and figures must be submitted as supplementary files. Review must describe the process used to identify and include papers and must present controversies or inconsistencies in the literature in a balanced way while indicating where the current balance lies. Manuscript must include 3–5 keywords after the abstract, an 'Author Contributions' heading after the Acknowledgements section, and a 'Statements and Declarations' section with each required subheading.

References are limited to 200, with most drawn from the last 10 years. References must follow AMA style. References must be cited with superscript Arabic numerals in consecutive order of appearance, and list all authors unless there are more than 6 authors, in which case the first 3 should be followed by 'et al.'.
