Original Research

Cover Letter Cover letter must be submitted through the electronic management system.
Abstract Original Research articles must include a structured abstract. Abstract must be 300 words or fewer. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Objective, Design, Participants or Patients or Subjects, Interventions if applicable, Main Measures, Key Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Text must not exceed 3,000 words, excluding the title page, abstract, references, tables, figures, figure legends, and appendices. Manuscript must be organized into Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include up to five keywords on the title page and document any use of a large language model in the Methods section or another suitable part of the manuscript.
References References must follow the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals format. References must be numbered consecutively in the order cited in the text using Arabic numerals, listing all authors when there are six or fewer and the first three followed by et al. when there are seven or more.
Figures & Tables The combined number of tables and figures in the main body should not generally exceed 6. In the initial submission, each figure must be embedded directly into the manuscript document after the references, tables, and text boxes, if any. Each figure must have a brief separate legend, and each table must have a short title and be cited in the text.

Qualitative Original Research
