Original Articles

Cover Letter A covering letter is required. The covering letter must be signed by all contributors and mention previous publication or presentations, the source of funding, and conflicts of interest.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Manuscript text is limited to 3000 words excluding the abstract. Text must be divided into Abstract, Key-words, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, References, Tables, and Figure legends. Include 3 to 8 keywords below the abstract, provide word counts for Introduction plus Discussion on the title page or first page file, and disclose any generative AI or AI-assisted tool used and its purpose in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References References should be about 30. References must follow the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention using Arabic numerals in superscript with square brackets, with journal titles abbreviated according to Index Medicus style and the first six contributors listed followed by et al for journal articles.
Figures & Tables Tables must be provided at the end of the text after the references, figure legends should be included at the end of the article file, and images must not be incorporated in the blinded article file but uploaded separately. Tables with more than 10 columns and 25 rows are not acceptable.

Review Articles

Cover Letter Cover letter is required and must be signed by all contributors. A short summary of the work done by the contributor or contributors in the review field must accompany the manuscript.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract should be unstructured.
Manuscript Review articles are limited to 4000 words excluding the abstract. Manuscript must include a section describing the methods used for locating, selecting, extracting, and synthesizing data. Authors must provide 3 to 8 keywords below the abstract and disclose any generative AI or AI-assisted technologies used and their purpose in the Methods or Acknowledgments section.
References Review articles are limited to about 90 references. References must follow the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts submitted to Biomedical Journals. References must be numbered consecutively by order of first mention using superscript Arabic numerals in square brackets, with journal titles abbreviated according to Index Medicus and the first six authors listed before et al.
Figures & Tables Tables must be provided at the end of the text after the references, and figures must be uploaded separately rather than incorporated in the blinded article file. Tables must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and figures must be numbered consecutively in the order of first citation in the text.
