Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover letters are required.
Abstract A JMRI-specific structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be BACKGROUND, PURPOSE or HYPOTHESIS, STUDY TYPE, POPULATION or SUBJECTS or PHANTOM or SPECIMEN or ANIMAL MODEL, FIELD STRENGTH/SEQUENCE, ASSESSMENT, STATISTICAL TESTS, RESULTS, and DATA CONCLUSION.
Manuscript Manuscript must be up to 4,000 words. Text must be arranged with the headings Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion. Manuscript must include the Evidence Level and Stage of Technical Efficacy after the abstract, 3 to 6 keywords below the abstract, and an acknowledgment describing any use of AI or related tools to create or edit content with the tool name, version, extension numbers, and manufacturer.
References References must not exceed 50. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first mention with in-text citation numbers in parentheses, use Index Medicus journal abbreviations, list all authors when there are six or fewer and the first three followed by et al. when there are seven or more, and include DOI for online-only or in-press articles.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables combined must not exceed 10. Figures must be uploaded separately and not embedded in the main manuscript file, while tables must be placed on separate pages in the main document. Each table must be on a separate page and numbered in Arabic numerals with a brief title, and each figure must have a legend with figure parts limited to 10.

Manuscript Reviews must be up to 7,500 words. Manuscript must include the Evidence Level and Stage of Technical Efficacy after the abstract, 3 to 6 keywords below the abstract, and an Acknowledgment statement disclosing any use of artificial intelligence or related tools in content creation or editing, including the content involved and the tool name, version, extension numbers, and manufacturer.
References Reviews must include no more than 100 references.
