Original Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must be signed by the corresponding author and confirm that the work is original, is not under consideration elsewhere, and complies with the journal's rules.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 200 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Aim(s), Materials and methods, Results, and Conclusion(s).
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 3,500 words excluding references. The manuscript should include Introduction, Material and Methods, Results, and Discussion sections. The manuscript must include 1-5 keywords.
References References must follow APA 6th edition style. In-text citations must use the author-date method, the reference list must be alphabetized by author name, and DOIs must be included where available.
Figures & Tables No more than 7 figures and tables in total may be included. For initial submission, figures and tables may be embedded in a single manuscript file or uploaded as separate files. Figures and tables must have legends.

Narrative Reviews

Cover Letter A cover letter is required, and unsolicited Narrative Reviews must include a submission letter articulating the novelty of the findings and the potential impact of the review on clinical practice, policy, or research. The cover letter must be signed by the corresponding author and confirm that the work is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and compliant with the journal's rules.
