Original Article
Cover Letter
A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include the names, title, email address, and affiliation of at least four independent reviewers with appropriate expertise.
Abstract
An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured.
Manuscript
The manuscript is generally limited to 3500 words, excluding abstract, tables, figures, and references. The manuscript must clearly state an objective or hypothesis, design and methods, essential features of any interventions, main outcome measures, main results, a discussion with literature context and limitations, and conclusions. A maximum of six keywords is allowed, and a graphical abstract is mandatory.
References
The manuscript is generally limited to 30 references. AMA References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and entries must list all authors if six or fewer authors are present.
Figures & Tables
No more than 7 tables and figures are allowed. Tables and illustrations must be numbered in the order of their citation in the text. A graphical abstract figure must be submitted in TIFF, EPS, or JPEG format within 50 mm x 60 mm at a minimum resolution of 300 dpi, and all tables and illustrations should be original work.

An abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript
The text is limited to 4000 words, excluding abstract, tables, figures, and references. A graphical abstract is mandatory, and use of reporting guidelines must be mentioned in both the abstract and the article.
References
The manuscript is limited to 100 references. AMA References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, and reference entries must list all authors if six or fewer authors are present.
Figures & Tables
A maximum of 7 tables or figures is allowed. A flow diagram depicting the search and selection processes should be included, and evidence tables should be included.
