The Journal of Molecular Medicine focuses on basic findings from disease pathogenesis to therapy research across all human diseases. Studies based on model organisms are considered if relevant to human disease, while studies solely based on cell lines will not be considered. The journal continues the Berliner Klinische Wochenschrift (1864). Authors may publish through the traditional route or immediate gold Open Access.

Abstract Abstract is required and must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be unstructured. Abstract must state the rationale, objectives, findings, and conclusions of the manuscript.
Manuscript Main text body must not exceed 3500 words. Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a data availability statement, a disclosure statement, a 'Statements and Declarations' section, and separate key messages consisting of 3 to 5 bullet points of no more than 85 characters each.
References References must not exceed 50. Citations must be numbered in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered consecutively, include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication, include full DOI links when available, and list only the first ten authors followed by 'et al' when a cited article has more than 10 authors.
Figures & Tables There may be no more than 8 display items in total, including figures and tables. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text unless file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order, and accompanied by captions, with figure captions included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure file.
