Submission Instructions

Cold Spring Harbor Perspectives In Medicine is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Original Article

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must be 100–140 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 5000 words excluding references. Manuscript pages must be arranged as Title page, Abstract, Introduction, Main text including subheadings, Concluding remarks, Acknowledgments, References, Figure Legends, and Tables.
References References must use an author-date citation style. References must be arranged alphabetically by the last name of the first author, cited in text by author and year rather than number, list all authors’ names, and include standard publication details with DOI for online-only or ahead-of-print journal articles.
Figures & Tables Manuscript may include a maximum of five figures. Figures must be supplied as separate files and not embedded within the text file, while figure legends must be placed at the end of the manuscript and tables supplied in Word format. Each table must have a brief title and appropriate column headings, and figure and table legends must begin with a short descriptive title and remain brief.
