Abstract
Abstract is required. Abstract must be structured and must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions, may include Participants and Setting after Background for studies with human participants, must clearly identify secondary analyses in Methods when applicable, and must end with 3 to 5 keywords.
Manuscript
Main text must not exceed 3,500 words. Manuscript must include the headings INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION, ACKNOWLEDGMENTS, REFERENCES, and LEGENDS in that order, with a Key Points box placed after the title page and before the abstract. Manuscript must include a Key Points box of no more than 300 words with a “Key Points” heading containing 2 to 3 one-sentence bullet points, a “Why does this paper matter?” section answered in 1 to 2 sentences without bullets, and disclosure of any qualifying AI use in the Acknowledgment section and Methods if relevant.
