Manuscript must include the headings INTRODUCTION, METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION, ACKNOWLEDGMENTS, REFERENCES, and LEGENDS in that order, with a Key Points box placed after the title page and before the abstract. Manuscript must include a Key Points box of no more than 300 words with a “Key Points” heading containing 2 to 3 one-sentence bullet points, a “Why does this paper matter?” section answered in 1 to 2 sentences without bullets, and disclosure of any qualifying AI use in the Acknowledgment section and Methods if relevant.
