Skin Research and Technology is a clinically oriented open access journal covering biophysical methods, imaging, skin pharmacology, and radiation therapy techniques used in dermatology, plastic surgery, and cosmetic and pharmaceutical sciences. It invites papers on the development, validation, and application of methods for characterizing diseased, abnormal, and normal skin, with an emphasis on clear, experimentally sound, and novel contributions.

Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Manuscript must follow either structured abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements if applicable, References, Tables if applicable, List of figure captions if applicable, and List of supporting information legends if applicable, or structured abstract followed by content-specific headings, Acknowledgements if applicable, References, Tables if applicable, List of figure captions if applicable, and List of supporting information legends if applicable. Manuscript must include 4 to 10 keywords and disclose any substantial use of AI technologies.
References References must follow AMA style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and formatted consistently.
Figures & Tables Figures should be supplied as separate files, while tables are included with the manuscript. Figures and tables must have concise, self-contained legends and be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals.
