Research Reports

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must include a brief statement of the work's significance, affirm that the work is original and unpublished elsewhere, and provide the names and full contact details of at least 5 qualified potential reviewers.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract should preferably be 150 words or fewer and must not exceed 250 words. The abstract is unstructured. The abstract must succinctly state the purpose, significant results, and conclusions of the research.
Manuscript Body text must not exceed 5,000 words. The body text must include Introduction, Results, Discussion, Materials and Methods, and Conclusions. The manuscript must include a translational impact statement of no more than 85 words after the abstract, and keywords are limited to up to 7 words or short phrases.
References References must use AMA style. References must be listed numerically in the order cited in the text.
Figures & Tables Research Reports are limited to 5 to 8 figures and tables. The manuscript may include figures and tables in the editable file or they may be supplied as separate files. Figures and tables must have legends.

Reviews

References References must use AMA style. References must be listed numerically in the order cited in the text, online research articles should include a DOI where available, and web pages must include the date accessed.
Figures & Tables Reviews are limited to 5 to 8 figures and tables. Figures and tables may be included in the editable manuscript file or supplied as separate files, and tables may be sent as a separate file if necessary. Figures and tables must have legends, and all tables must be cited in the text in the order they should appear.
