Review Articles (Evaluation Articles)

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be 200 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must use the headings Background, Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 4,000 words excluding the abstract, tables, and references. Manuscript must be ordered as Abstract, Keywords, Main text introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, Declaration of interest statement, References, and Appendices where appropriate. Manuscript must include 3 to 7 keywords, a generative AI use statement, and a heading entitled 'Patient and Public Involvement' at the end of the Methods section.
References References must use APA style. References must be listed at the end of the main text under the heading 'References' and ordered alphabetically by first author surname.
Figures & Tables Manuscripts may include a maximum of 4 tables and 2 figures. Tables must be uploaded separately, figures should be saved separately from the text, and the manuscript must indicate where tables and figures are to be located. Tables and captions must be uploaded separately on individual pages, and figures and figure captions must be uploaded separately as a list.

Review Article (Systematic)

Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be 200 words. The abstract must be unstructured. A PRISMA/PROSPERO statement must appear at the bottom of the abstract under the subheading 'PRISMA/PROSPERO'.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 6,000 words excluding the abstract, tables, and references. The manuscript must be ordered as Abstract (Background, Aims, Methods, Results, Conclusions), Keywords, Main text introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, Declaration of interest statement, References, and Appendices where appropriate.
