Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation is an international, peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of pharmaceutical sciences, including the conception, design, production, characterization, and evaluation of pharmaceutical products and drug delivery systems. Formerly known as the Journal of Korean Pharmaceutical Sciences, it is published bimonthly in January, March, May, July, September, and November, and publishes research articles and reviews.

Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Original Research

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must state the manuscript category and confirm that the manuscript has not been published previously or submitted elsewhere.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be 150 to 250 words long. The abstract must be structured. Original Research abstracts must use the headings Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Original Research articles should be organized as Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements, Compliance with Ethical Standards, References, and Figure legends. The manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, and documentation of any large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable section if no Methods section is available.
References References must be cited in the text by name and year in parentheses. The reference list must include only cited published or accepted works, be alphabetized by first-author surname, arrange works by the same author(s) chronologically, and distinguish same-year items with letters.
Figures & Tables The total number of figures must not exceed 6. Tables must be typed on separate pages, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure files. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals and each must have a caption, while titles or captions must not appear within illustrations.

Manuscript must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, and documentation of large language model use in the Methods section or another suitable part if no Methods section is available.
References Review articles have no limit on the number of references. Citations must use name-and-year style. Reference list must include only cited published or accepted works and be alphabetized by first-author surname, with entries for the same author ordered chronologically and same-year items distinguished by letters.
Figures & Tables Review articles have no limit on the number of tables or figures. Tables must be typed on separate pages, and figure captions must be included in the manuscript text file rather than in the figure files. Tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals and each figure and table must have a concise caption.
