Cognitive Computation is an interdisciplinary journal publishing original research on natural and artificial cognitive systems. It provides a platform spanning neurobiology, cognitive psychology, and artificial intelligence, explores cognitive agents from perception and decision making to language processing and reasoning, encourages bio-inspired computational accounts, and welcomes submissions related to special sections on Sentic Computing and Big Data Analytics.

Regular Full-Length Papers

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must be 150–250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract headings must be Background/introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Regular Full-Length Papers can be up to 10,000 words in length. Manuscript should be arranged as Title page, Structured Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion or summary, Acknowledgements, References, Tables, and Figures. Manuscript must include keywords and a disclosure statement.
References References must follow Vancouver format. References must be listed in numerical order of citation, use square-bracketed in-text numbers, list all authors for up to six authors and the first six followed by et al for more than six.
Figures & Tables Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, with large figures submitted separately only if manuscript file size causes upload problems. Tables and figures must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order, and each must have a heading or caption.
