Pituitary is an international journal focusing on both basic and clinical aspects of the pituitary gland and publishes original, high-quality research on pituitary function and clinical pituitary disease. It is directed at basic investigators, physiologists, clinical adult and pediatric endocrinologists, neurosurgeons and reproductive endocrinologists, and covers topics including pituitary tumor biology, mechanisms of pituitary hormone secretion, prospective clinical studies of pituitary disease, and critical basic and clinical reviews.

Review

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Abstract is required. Abstract must contain 150 to 250 words. Abstract must be structured. Abstract must be divided into Purpose, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
Manuscript Review articles are recommended not to exceed 3500 words. Review articles must include 4 to 6 keywords, a disclosure statement, a statement identifying who had the idea for the article, who performed the literature search and data analysis, and who drafted and/or critically revised the work, a "Statements and Declarations" section, and documentation of any Large Language Model use in the Methods section or a suitable alternative part of the manuscript.
References Review articles are recommended not to exceed 200 references. Citations in the text must be numbered in square brackets and the reference list must be numbered consecutively and include only works cited in the text that have been published or accepted for publication.
Figures & Tables Review articles should include at least 2 figures or 1 figure and 1 table. Figures should be submitted within the body of the text, with large figures submitted separately only if file size causes upload problems. Figures and tables must be numbered with Arabic numerals, cited in consecutive numerical order in the text, and accompanied by concise captions, with figure captions included in the manuscript text file.
