Original Papers

Cover Letter A cover letter is mandatory for submission. The cover letter must disclose any use of AI to generate content or images, write code, process data, or provide translation assistance.
Abstract An abstract is required. The abstract must be no longer than 200 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Papers should be between 2000 and 3000 words. The manuscript should structure its concluding sections around what is already known on this topic and what the manuscript adds. The manuscript must include alt text directly under each figure legend and disclose any use of AI in the Methods or Acknowledgements section.
References References must follow the form adopted by Index Medicus. In-text citations must be numbered consecutively in Arabic numerals, and references may list up to six authors or otherwise the first three followed by et al.
Figures & Tables Original Papers must have no more than 4 tables or figures. Illustrations must be uploaded as separate files rather than embedded in the text, and tables should be placed on separate pages. Tables must be created in table format rather than as graphics.

Short Reports
