Journal of Safety Science and Resilience is an open access scholarly journal that publishes scientific research on safety science and resilience, including natural disasters, man-made and environmental hazards, monitoring and early warning technologies, resilience analysis for critical infrastructure and communities, social-network event evaluation, and optimization of accident and disaster response. It focuses primarily on original research papers and also welcomes state-of-the-art review papers and significant case histories on accidents and disasters.

Original Research Papers

Cover Letter Submission implies publication is approved by all authors and by the responsible authorities where the work was carried out.
Abstract A concise and factual abstract is required. The abstract must be unstructured and able to stand alone. The abstract must briefly state the purpose of the research, the principal results, and the major conclusions.
Manuscript Articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections with numbered subsections. Keywords must be submitted with the paper, and acknowledgements must appear in a separate section before the references.
References References must use a numbered style with citations in square brackets. References must be numbered in the order of first appearance in the text and journal names must be abbreviated according to the List of Title Word Abbreviations.
Figures & Tables Figures may be presented with captions in the manuscript body but must also be uploaded as separate files, and captions must be provided separately. Illustrations and tables must be numbered consecutively according to their order of appearance in the text.
