Regular Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter must disclose any prior presentation or overlap in concept with other published or submitted manuscripts. The cover letter must state any prior presentation or overlap in concept with other published or submitted manuscripts.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 200 words. Abstract must be a single unstructured paragraph.
Manuscript There is no published page limit, but mandatory page charges apply beyond 12 published pages and articles must be kept to 12 pages or fewer if those charges cannot be paid. Manuscript must be ordered as Title page, Abstract, Body of Manuscript, Supplementary Material if any, Acknowledgments if any, Author Declarations, Data Availability, Appendixes if any, Endnotes if any, and References. Manuscript must include Author Declarations and a Data Availability section, and any significant use of AI-based large language models to generate text must be disclosed to editors and reviewers.
References References must use either numerical style or bibliographic style. Only published or in-press references are allowed, all author names must be listed without using “et al.,” and references labeled “submitted,” “in review,” “unpublished,” or to Wikipedia must be removed.
Figures & Tables Manuscripts should ordinarily have no more than 20 figures. For initial submission, figures with captions and tables must be embedded within the manuscript text where they are first called out. Tables must be numbered with capital Roman numerals and figures must be numbered consecutively in the order they are called out in the text.
