Research And Applications

Cover Letter A cover letter is required and should describe any special considerations and include details of previous reviews of the submitted article. The cover letter should note special considerations regarding the submission and include details of previous reviews of the submitted article.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. The abstract must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Objective, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
Manuscript The manuscript must not exceed 4000 words, excluding Acknowledgments and References. The main text must include a Background and Significance section plus sections corresponding to the abstract headings. The title page must include up to five keywords or phrases and the manuscript must provide alt text under each figure legend.
References References are unlimited. References must be numbered sequentially in order of citation and list all authors if there are 3 or fewer, or the first 3 authors followed by 'et al.' if there are more than 3.
Figures & Tables The article may include up to 6 figures and up to 4 tables. Tables should be placed in the main text where first cited, while images must be uploaded as separate files. Figure legends must be provided at the end of the manuscript and alt text must appear under each relevant legend in the main manuscript file.
