Research Article

Cover Letter An additional cover letter or comments to the editors may be uploaded as a single optional file containing information for editorial consideration only.
Abstract Structure the abstract under the headings Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions with a maximum of 350 words. For clinical trials, the trial register name and registration number must appear as the last line of the abstract.
Manuscript Main text word limit is 3500 words for quantitative studies (tables excluded from word count) and 5000 words for qualitative studies with substantial quotes (tables containing quotes included in word count).
References No maximum reference count is indicated.
Figures & Tables Figures must be cited in the text in consecutive order, cropped closely with legends defining all symbols and abbreviations, and high‑resolution versions are submitted after peer review; figures can also be provided as separate optional image files.
