Research Articles

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A standard abstract and a short abstract are required. The standard abstract must not exceed 250 words, and the short abstract must not exceed 80 words. Abstracts must be unstructured.
Manuscript Manuscript must include a title page, standard abstract, short abstract, introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, reference list, figure legends, tables, figures, and for Research Articles an experimental section with enough detail to repeat the work. The title page must include keywords, with no more than 10 keywords allowed.
References References must follow the 18th edition of The Chicago Manual of Style using the author-date citation method. Use full journal names rather than abbreviations, provide DOIs where available, and use et al. in text citations for references with 3 or more authors.
Figures & Tables Figures should be uploaded as separate files, while manuscripts may be submitted either as a single document containing the main text, tables, and figures or with figures and tables provided separately, and tables must be placed on separate pages after the reference list rather than incorporated into the main text. Compound figures should be uploaded as one figure, and each illustration file must indicate the figure number and the top of the figure.
