Article

Cover Letter A covering letter should be included with the submission.
Abstract Articles must include a semistructured abstract. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be semistructured in five paragraphs. Abstract must contain the headings Background, Methods, Findings, Interpretation, and Funding.
Manuscript Articles must be up to 3500 words, or up to 4500 words for randomised controlled trials. Articles must include a Research in context panel, and reports of randomised trials must include a “Randomisation and masking” section within the Methods section. Articles must include declaration of interests and source of funding statements, a contributors statement at the end of the text, an AI use disclosure statement in the acknowledgment section when applicable, and a data sharing statement at the end of the manuscript.
References Articles must include no more than 30 references. References must use Vancouver style with sequential superscript numbering. Journal names must be abbreviated in Index Medicus style, references with six or fewer authors must list all authors, and references with seven or more authors must list the first three followed by et al.
Figures & Tables The manuscript must include tables and panels, while figures must be included as part of the submission. When reporting Kaplan-Meier survival data, numbers at risk must be included at each timepoint.

Review
