Progress in Neuro-Psychopharmacology & Biological Psychiatry is an international and multidisciplinary journal that publishes authoritative reviews and research papers on experimental and clinical aspects of neuro-psychopharmacology and biological psychiatry, including a special section dedicated to psychedelics research. The journal does not publish work on biological extracts unless the pharmacologically active molecular substrate and/or specific receptor binding properties are elucidated, and bibliometric analysis studies are not considered.

Abstract A concise and factual abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections, with the abstract excluded from section numbering. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 English keywords, 3 to 5 highlights submitted as a separate editable file, a generative AI declaration section before the references if applicable, and acknowledgements in a separate section before the references.
References References must use an author-date citation style. Reference list must be arranged alphabetically and then chronologically if needed, with in-text citations using author name and year and three or more authors shortened to first author plus et al.
Figures & Tables Tables must be submitted as editable text, while figures and other artwork must be uploaded as separate files along with the manuscript. All tables and figures must be cited in the text, numbered in order of appearance, and accompanied by captions.
