Each issue provides focused review articles devoted to a single topic of current importance to clinical nephrology for practicing nephrologists, researchers, fellows, and multidisciplinary kidney care teams.

Submission Instructions

Seminars in Nephrology is an invitation-only journal. Submissions are accepted by invitation from the editorial board only. The following article types are accepted:

Reviews

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Reviews must include an abstract. Abstract must not exceed 250 words.
Manuscript Reviews must contain between 3000 and 5,000 words. Manuscript should be divided into clearly defined sections using headings. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords in English and, if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation, a section titled "Declaration of generative AI and AI-assisted technologies in the manuscript preparation process" before the references stating the tool name, purpose, extent of oversight, and that the authors reviewed the output and take full responsibility for the content.
References Reviews may include up to 100 references. References must be cited using superscript Arabic numerals in the order of appearance, with the reference list numbered in that same order.
Figures & Tables Reviews may include a maximum of 6 tables/figures. Tables should be placed next to the relevant text or on separate pages at the end of the article, and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be submitted as editable text with captions, and all figures and tables must be cited in the manuscript text and numbered consecutively in order of appearance.

References Editorials should contain a maximum of 15 references. References must be cited in the text using superscript Arabic numerals in order of appearance, and the reference list must be numbered in that same order.
