Abstract
A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 250 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript
Manuscript must be no longer than 5000 words excluding the title page, abstract, references, tables, and figure legends but including the abbreviation list, acknowledgements, funding, disclosure statement, and author contributions. Manuscript must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. Manuscript must include 1 to 7 keywords, submission highlights consisting of 3 to 5 bullet points, a competing interests declaration, and an AI-use declaration section before the references if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation.
References
Reference list must contain no more than 60 references. References must be cited as numbers in square brackets and listed in numerical order of appearance, with the first 6 authors followed by 'et al.' when there are more than 6 authors.
Figures & Tables
Original Research Papers must contain no more than 10 tables and figures combined. Tables must be provided as editable text and figures must be supplied as separate files along with the manuscript. Tables must be cited and numbered consecutively in the text with captions, and all figures must be cited, numbered in sequence, and accompanied by captions.

Review Articles may use subheadings to highlight the content of different sections. An abstract is required for Fast-Track brief reports as a single paragraph of fewer than 150 words, while Fast-Track regular reports follow the general requirement for a concise factual abstract not exceeding 250 words. Fast-Track brief report abstracts must be fewer than 150 words, while other Fast-Track abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Fast-Track brief report abstracts must be unstructured in a single paragraph.
Manuscript
Fast-Track brief reports must be no longer than 15,000 characters including spaces, approximately 1,500–1,800 words, including the abstract but excluding references, while Fast-Track regular reports may be up to 4,000 words. Fast-Track Publications may be submitted as either a brief report or a regular report, and articles must be divided into clearly defined and numbered sections. The submission must include 1 to 7 keywords and separate article highlights of 3 to 5 bullet points, and if generative AI was used in manuscript preparation, a declaration statement must appear in a new section before the references.
