The Journal of Neuroradiology is the official publication of the French Society of Neuroradiology (SFNR) and is a peer-reviewed journal publishing worldwide clinical and basic research in diagnostic and interventional neuroradiology, translational and molecular neuroimaging, and artificial intelligence in neuroradiology. It considers articles, reviews, technical notes, and letters to the editors with high-quality methodology and scientific content that have substantial clinical impact and/or physiological importance.

Original Research

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.

Abstract Original Research manuscripts must include a structured abstract. The abstract must be 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background and purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions.

Manuscript Original Research manuscripts must not exceed 4500 words excluding the abstract, Materials and methods, references, and figure legends. The manuscript must include clearly defined sections including Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. The manuscript must include keywords and an AI declaration statement at the end of the manuscript before the references if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation.

References In-text citations must use numbers in square brackets. Reference list entries must be numbered in the order in which they appear in the text.

Figures & Tables A graphical abstract image is mandatory for Original Research manuscripts. Figures and tables included in a single file must be placed next to the relevant text in the manuscript. Graphical abstract images must be submitted in .jpeg, .tif, .pdf, .pptx, or .png format.

Manuscript Review articles have a maximum length of 6500 words. The manuscript must include keywords, and a graphical abstract image is mandatory.

Manuscript must include keywords, with a maximum of 6 keywords immediately after the abstract, and must include an AI declaration at the end of the manuscript before the references if generative AI tools were used in manuscript preparation.

References References may be submitted in any consistent style or format. In-text citations must use numbers in square brackets and the reference list must be numbered in the order of first appearance in the text.

Figures & Tables Figures and tables included in a single file must be placed next to the relevant text in the manuscript, with the corresponding caption directly below each figure or table. Figures must include relevant captions and be numbered according to their sequence in the text, and tables must include titles and be numbered consecutively in the order they appear in the text.
