Submission Instructions

Molecular Medicine Reports accepts the following article types. Click on an article type to view submission instructions.

Original Research Articles

Cover Letter A cover letter is required. The cover letter must briefly summarize the study and confirm originality, novelty, approval by all authors, and disclosure of any competing interests.
Abstract An abstract is required. Abstract is usually 150-300 words. Abstract must be continuous and unstructured. Abstract must not contain subsections such as Objectives, Methods, Results or Conclusions.
Manuscript Original Research Articles must include Abstract, Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgements, Funding, Availability of data and materials, Authors' contributions, Ethics approval and consent to participate, Patient consent for publication, Competing interests, References, Figure legends, and Tables. The manuscript must include 5 to 10 keywords, a running title of no more than 100 characters including the author name, all required declaration sections with 'Use of artificial intelligence tools' only when AI tools are used, and an optional Authors' information section.
References References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance, cited in the text using numbers in parentheses, use NLM journal title abbreviations, list the first 9 authors or the first 10 followed by et al when more than 10 authors exist, and include inclusive page numbers.
Figures & Tables Figure legends must be included in the text document separate from the figure files, and each table must be submitted as a separate Word file. All figures and tables must be cited in the Results section, figure legends must include a title and brief description, graphs must label axes and define significance indicators and error bars, and microscopy legends should state image type and original magnification and/or scale bar length.
