Monaldi Archives for Chest Disease is an international scientific open access journal of the Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri, Pavia, Italy, dedicated to advancing knowledge in cardiopulmonary medicine and rehabilitation. It publishes original articles, methodological approaches, reviews, opinions, editorials, and position papers on cardiac and pulmonary medicine and rehabilitation, and also welcomes contributions related to nursing, exercise treatment, health psychology, occupational medicine, care of the elderly, health economics, and other fields connected to the treatment, management, rehabilitation, and prevention of cardiac and respiratory disease.

Abstract Abstract is required and must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must not exceed 350 words. Abstract must be unstructured and not subdivided into headings. Manuscript should be divided into Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and References.
Manuscript Manuscript must not exceed 3500 words. Manuscript should be divided into Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions and References. Manuscript must include three to five keywords and the sections Ethics approval and consent to participate, Consent for publication, Availability of data and material, Competing interests, Funding, Authors' contributions, and Acknowledgements.
References References must not exceed 50. References must follow Vancouver style. References must be numbered consecutively in order of first citation in the text and cited using numbers in square brackets, listing three authors followed by et al. when there are more than three authors.
Figures & Tables Tables and figures are limited to a combined maximum of 3/5. Tables and figures must be placed at the end of the manuscript. Tables and figures must be numbered and cited in the text, and each figure must have a separate caption at the end of the manuscript.
