Research Report

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Research Reports must include an abstract. The abstract must be no longer than 300 words. The abstract must be structured. The abstract must use the headings Background, Aims, Methods, Results, and Conclusions.
Manuscript Research Reports are limited to 3500 words. The text body must include an introduction, materials and methods, results, and discussion. The manuscript must include 3-6 keywords and 1-2 sentences under Clinical Implications answering what is already known about the topic and what new information the study adds.
References Research Reports may include a maximum of 25 references. References must be numbered consecutively in the order of appearance in the text.
Figures & Tables Research Reports may include a maximum of 6 figures and tables. Figures should be supplied as separate files. Tables should be supplied as editable files rather than pasted as images.

Systematic Review

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract Systematic Reviews must include a summary. The summary must be no more than 300 words. The summary must give information on the methods of selecting the publications cited.
Manuscript Systematic Reviews are limited to 4000 words, including all text from the introduction to the end of the text after the disclosures. Systematic Reviews should include a clear aim and search strategy. The manuscript must include 3-6 keywords.
References Systematic Reviews have no reference limit. References must be numbered consecutively in order of appearance and cited in the text using consecutive Arabic superscript numerals.
Figures & Tables Systematic Reviews may include a maximum of 6 figures and tables. Figures should be supplied as separate files. Tables must be self-contained and supplied as editable files, and figure and table legends must be concise but comprehensive.
