It advances education and the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation through the timely delivery of clinically relevant and evidence-based research and review information, and encourages contributions from all parts of the world and from all types of professions in rehabilitation.

Original Research

Cover Letter Cover Letter requirements are not specified.
Abstract A structured abstract is required. Abstract must not exceed 300 words. Abstract must be structured.
Manuscript Original Research manuscripts should be limited to 4,000 words excluding references, tables and figures. Main text must include the sections abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusions. Include at least 3 keywords after the abstract.
References References should follow AMA Manual of Style, 10th edition. References should appear at the end of the manuscript and be cited in the text in the order of appearance.
Figures & Tables Figures and tables may be included in the editable manuscript file or submitted as separate files, and the main text order should place tables and figure legends after the references. Figures and tables must have concise, comprehensive legends that make them understandable without reference to the text.

Systematic Reviews

Manuscript Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses must be limited to 5,000 words excluding references, tables, and figures. The manuscript must contain abstract, introduction, methods, results, and conclusions. Include at least 3 keywords, and the title page must state the study type as a subtitle for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses.
References References may be submitted in any consistent style or format. References must appear at the end of the manuscript and be cited in the text in order of appearance.
Figures & Tables The manuscript may include text, figures, and tables in one editable file or as separate files, but figures must be supplied as separate files. Figures and tables must have concise, comprehensive legends and be understandable without reference to the text.
